Product Empties #1: Nature Republic, LJH, Botanic Farm & Benton

In terms of AB, 2016 has been great for me (although maybe not so great for my wallet). I feel like I’ve learnt a lot about ingredients used in cosmetics, their uses, and also discovered promising new brands. With a lot of experimenting and testing going on, there are bound to be empties…lots of empties. So, over the next few weeks, I’ll be gradually posting reviews and writing about my experience with the products I’ve managed to use up in 2015. Be prepared for a lot of ferments, snails and bees!

Review: Sulwhasoo Snowise EX Cleansing Foam

If you’re after blemish-free, clear and even-toned skin, proper cleansing is the key. I repeat: CLEANSING is the key. Pricey toners and a myriad of clay masks are not going to do anything if you regularly go to bed with clumps of mascara still on your lashes and your sunscreen still covering up your pores because you’re too tired to cleanse properly after a night out. Well, guess what: leaving all that make-up, sunscreen and gunk and sebum that accumulate during the day  will lead to clogged pores and cause breakouts eventually. That’s why using a good cleanser that is able to  get rid of all that without totally stripping the skin and prep it for the following skincare steps is crucial. Oh, annd it should be low-pH.

Introducing: The Mochi Skin

Happy Sunday, everyone!

Some may have noticed that I’ve recently changed the blog name and layout of this blog, which shall be known as The Mochi Skin from now on.

The main reason is that this blog will soon be one year old. I started this page as a way of interacting with people who share the same passions as me, but I sincerely never thought I would get sucked into it so much, and I mean this in a good way. Blogging has helped me build so many new skills while at the same time giving me the chance of meeting some amazing people, discover awesome blogs and exchange opinions with people who are just as crazy about beauty as I am.  It also made me think about how much has changed during the past year and I started feeling like I needed an ‘upgrade’, something a little bit more mature. My biggest hope is that the new blog will reflect the growth that I’ve experienced as a blogger and person during 2015.

The past year also made me realise how much I enjoy writing about all things skin care and beauty, and how it fills me with joy to read your comments. For this reason I will try to get even more involved with Asian Beauty this year and update as much as possible! You can always check my current skin care routine and what I’m using at the moment on the new page I’ve added, which I will update every once in a while.

I hope you like the new blog and stay tuned for what’s to come! 🙂

Oh, before I forget, I’ve also created a pseudonym as my usual name tends to be a liiiitle bit confusing! 😉
